In view of the multicultural population structure, every police authority in North Rhine-Westphalia has a contact officer for Muslim institutions.
This or this takes on the special task of also pursuing integration policy through the police. The aim of the contact officer is to establish a trusting cooperation between Muslims and state institutions and at the same time to make a valuable contribution to integration and thus to police security work.
The aim is to establish and maintain contact with Islamic institutions, in particular Muslim communities and associations, through confidence-building measures. In detail, this means establishing contact with local associations, communities and institutions, but also close cooperation with the district service, state security and other police departments.
In Olpe, Police Superintendent (POK) Alexander Henninger is responsible for this work. Interested associations and institutions can get in touch with him and make a joint contribution to integration.
