As the Mettmann district police authority, we regularly provide citizens and journalists with important information. In addition to our traditional website, we have been using Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) for several years.
Today, we launched our own WhatsApp channel so that we can keep even more people up to date with important and interesting police reports.
You can receive the latest press releases, searches, images and short videos here. You will also be provided with the latest information on current operations that affect you as citizens in Mettmann.
We cordially invite you to subscribe to our WhatsApp channel at the following link:

Alternatively, you can scan the attached QR code. You are welcome to share both the link and the code.
Here are some important notes on the WhatsApp channel:
- Unlike other social
media, the channel is a one-way communication channel. There is no chat or
comment function. However, you can respond to posts
with emojis by tapping and holding on a post. - As the owner of the channel, we can only see how many
subscribers we have. We do not see your
name or your phone number. - We can and will never write you private messages on
WhatsApp. If someone writes to you anyway and
claims to be from the police, they are
suspected fraudsters. - Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to find our channel using the
search function. We are working on this. Until then, it is only
possible to subscribe to the channel via the link or QR code.
Here you will find the WhatsApp QR code to subscribe to our WhatsApp channel.
