After a robbery and knife attack on two 17-year-old girls on a country lane in Erkrath at around 2:50 am on Sunday night, February 25, 2024 ( https://www.presseportal.de/blaulicht/pm/43777/5722380), the police are continuing to investigate attempted murder and are once again appealing to the public.

The two girls were robbed by a previously unknown male person and seriously injured by several stab wounds. One of the victims was subsequently in mortal danger.

According to the current state of the investigation, a person of unknown gender who was not actively involved in the attack is said to have been in the background during the attack.

After the attack, the attacker and the other person fled south along the street "Im Hochfeld" towards Erkrather Straße; presumably in a coupé-like car model.

With the help of one of the victims, a sketch of the unknown suspect was created.

Personal description:

- 15 to 22 years old 
- about 175 cm tall 
- North African appearance 
- "pot cut" with dark brown-black curls 
- full lips, broad nose 
- no beard 
- dressed in black jogging pants and black striped quilted jacket 
- speaks German
