In the night from Monday to Tuesday (20.08.) at around 00:10, a 23-year-old woman from Bielefeld informed the police that she had been physically assaulted and injured by an unknown male person.
According to previous investigations, the woman from Bielefeld was listening to music with another person on Salzufler Straße near the Aral petrol station. Two unknown persons approached the woman from Bielefeld and asked her to turn down the music. The woman from Bielefeld did not respond to the request. The unknown offender then pulled what appeared to be pepper spray from his shoulder bag and sprayed the Bielefeld woman in the face. The victim was injured in the face as a result. The unknown perpetrator and his companion then left in the direction of Friedensthal Comprehensive School. One of the suspects could be described as follows:
- approx. 175 cm tall, - southern appearance - Jeans trousers, black/white jacket, (Gucci) shoulder bag.
In connection with the crime, the police are appealing for witnesses from the public. Information is requested from the criminal investigation department in Herford on 05221- 8880.
