(hd) On Friday (15.08.2025) at around 17:35, a store detective observed a theft in a department store on Albert-Schweitzer-Straße in Löhne. A young man had pocketed several packets of tobacco with a total value of around 110 euros and made his way to the exit of the store without paying for the items. The store detective then approached the suspect. He immediately tried to run away. The detective grabbed the man to prevent him from escaping. However, this was not successful. The thief gave him a strong push and continued his escape. The as yet unknown perpetrator can be described as follows: male, approx. 25 - 30 years old, slim, short blond hair, chin beard, tattoo on the left forearm, dressed in a black tank top, short white trousers and black sneakers. He was also carrying sunglasses with blue lenses and a rucksack. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation. Witnesses who can provide information on the facts of the case or the identity of the perpetrator are asked to contact the police on 05221 / 888-0.
